AI creates worlds first feature film

Higgsfield AI has debuted The Cully Hill Boys, the world’s first fully AI-generated feature film to star big athletes and internet stars, to a private audience in New York City. The 110-minute comedy-action movie features AI versions of MMA star Israel Adesanya; former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson; livestream creator N3on, whose real name is Mikyle Rafiq; and streetball and digital creator Matt “MK” Kiatipis.

The film was made by a 28-person team, including nine directors led by Aitore Zholdaskali and Adilet Abish, who adapted Timothy Planagan’s original award-winning screenplay into the film. In just four weeks, the group produced nearly 1,000 assets, as well as 100 AI-generated locations. The project cost a total of $2 million.

The Cully Hill Boys portrays an East London-based UK rap trioCal, Horace, and Oli—who get caught between two rival organized crime syndicates after accidentally discovering millions of British pound sterling inside of a boat. The film’s plot is a key aspect of its production, which was made possible by Higgsfield AI’s technology.

The company’s all-in-one technology helped a South Korean-based advertising company decrease its production costs by 97 percent, according to CEO Alex Mashrabov. This technology is a key part of Higgsfield AI’s aspirations to make AI video creation more accessible and affordable.

Eric Ford, a media and marketing industry professional, said he came into the event with an open mind and was pleasantly surprised by the film. Cono Rocovelli, a popular digital creator and podcaster, was more critical of the film’s technical execution, but praised its color grading, audio, and graphics.

Higgsfield AI is setting a new precedent for AI companies looking to recreate the likeness of high-profile figures with generative tools. Some creators, such as Mikyle Rafiq and Matt “MK” Kiatipis, are welcoming the shift and see it as a way to get paid for their likeness.

Higgsfield AI continues to develop its technology. The company’s goal is to make AI video creation more accessible and affordable, and to inspire people to try this new technology, according to Mashrabov.

As the use of AI in video creation becomes more prevalent, the company’s technology will play a key role. The technology is also making it possible for creators to collaborate with each other in new and innovative ways, such as using AI-generated characters in films and videos.
